Charleswood homes are found in a small community located in north west Calgary, Alberta. It was part of the municipal district of Rocky View until annexed to the City of Calgary in 1961. It is a unique community in the sense it has an urban feel despite being compact and surrounded by parks and green spaces. The community is bounded by Shaganappi Trail to the east; John Laurie Boulevard to the south; Charleswood Drive to the west; and Nose Hill Drive to the north.
